The character Josh in "Drake and Josh" is played by the talented actor, Josh Peck. When Josh was eight years old, he lived with his mom ( also his career consultant ) in Boca Raton, Florida. Together they would go out to comedy clubs and various plays as much as possible.
With his mother's great sense of humor and her support, it was almost inevitable that he would seek out a career in show biz. The role of "Josh" is far from his first. He co starred in "the Amanda Show" with Drake Bell, He was the correspondent for Nickelodeon's "Kids Pick the President". He did his feature-film debut in the Nickelodeon comedy "Snow Day", and he took the role of a bully in the film "Mean Creek" along side actor Rory Culkin.
Since Josh moved to California, he has been on "Filmore", "ER", and "The Guardian. Josh Peck has played many roles, but in "Drake and Josh" he plays a nerdy, goof who lacks popularity and desperately strives to grab any social acceptance that he can. As far as I can tell, seventeen year old Josh Peck is a whole lot cooler than his character on "Drake and Josh".
After reading this article, if you haven't seen the show yet, check it out and let me know what you think. Sure, on the show "Josh" is funny, but if you compare the two, "Josh" and Josh Peck, are two completely different personalities! In the show, Josh couldn't get a date if he tried, but in real life, I bet Josh Peck has cute girls fighting constantly for his attention!
